So let me wallow in self pity with a couple mailings from each of them. Pat up first, with a tiny PWE of just three cards.
The Odor hit the double play binder and the Apraricio is a dupe for the Aparicio player collection, but not a dupe for the Sox box. The Cobb - that's an interesting one. I put it to the Stadium Club build. It's a faux throwback and in that, I don't consider it a real uniform for the throwback binder. I do have a single card of the uniform in the pages, but that it the extent in which it will be honored at 2x3 headquarters. Thanks for the cards, Pat.
Junkie dropped a larger envelope on me with a ton of White Sox from the Conlon collection. And hey - someone started a blog about it! Anyway, it's a great set in regard to older, lesser seen players on cardboard rectangles, but a bear to track. Though, now that there's a blog, maybe I can finally understand the set(s). All total, TJ dropped about a dozen of these.
I wish we didn't let go of Reed, but business is business. A nice Black Jack Topps Gold, and that Robin in no ordinary card but a sample, if I recall what TJ wrote on his note. It's set numbered 6 of 12. The biggest thing I know is it's a card I did not know existed, and now I don't have to hunt it down. Thanks JJ.
Ok you two, and anyone else that cares to join us. Meet me at the local pub on October 5th and we can talk about how our teams are kicking ass come 2016.
LOL. The M's are going to really gel next season - I can feel it.
ReplyDeleteSo ready for next year, love that Conlon set thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteI'll be dropping a PWE your way after this weekend.
